In the Bear class we have been making submarines during our craft time. The second year students on the international course will use the finished items as indicators to display which student will be the daily helper.

Students had to glue together some pre-cut paper parts – the bodies, towers, front sections, and noses of the vessels. They also glued small light blue circles onto slightly larger white circles to make small windows for the tower. Finally, they drew pictures of their own faces onto large white circles. These circles formed round windows that were then affixed to the sides of the submarines.

It was a little difficult to get all the edges of the different parts to line up, but they did a really neat job in the end.

The submarines were made from yellow paper. They reminded me of the yellow submarine of the famous British pop group, The Beatles!!

We started the helper system in the classroom on Tuesday. The helper will rotate daily from now onwards.

（ベアークラスでは，制作の時間に潜水艦を作成しました。インターナショナルコースの年中さんでは，子どもたちの当番表として使用します。

子どもたちは，事前にカットされたパーツ－胴体，塔，前方部分，船首を糊で貼り付けました。また，塔部分の小さい窓を作るために，小さい水色の丸を少し大きめの白色の丸に貼付けました。最後に，大きい白い丸の中に，子どもたち自身の顔を描きました。これらの丸は，窓となり，潜水艦の側面に貼付けされました。

異なるパーツを重ね合わせて，作成することは少し難しかったですが，最後には子どもたちはきれいに仕上げていました。

潜水艦は黄色の紙で作りました。これは，イギリスの人気ポップグループ，ビートルズの”Yellow Submarine”を思い出させます！

火曜日から，ベアークラスではお当番さんが始まりました。お当番さんは，日々交代して行っていきます。
