Today we had our second dance lesson for the Rabbit course. I can tell the students are having a lot of fun. These lessons take place on the third floor of the school. We are learning how to safely go up the stairs and walk in an orderly way. The Year-one Tanpopo class joins us as well. It is nice that our class can make friends and play with them too.

A guest dance teacher comes to teach our students. Saki-sensei and I also get to enjoy dancing, along with helping the students. It is fun and good exercise! We did a warm-up, stretching and relaxing our bodies. Then we learned some dance moves and how to count and clap in rhythm. We copied the dance teacher and did some dance moves set to music. I was really impressed with our students’ good memories and they listened to the teacher very well.

A part of the lesson includes colored rubber floor mats with 1-2-3-4 written on them. We can practice numbers and colors while we dance! The students are also learning the difference between the left side and right side of their bodies. I can tell our students love dancing and we will look forward to our next lesson. We will also keep using dance and music in our regular classroom lessons.

（今日はRabbit組にとって２回目のダンス教室でした。
　子どもたちはとても楽しんでいたように思います。これらの教室は３階の部屋を使用します。子どもたちは安全に階段を上る練習や並びっこの順に歩く練習もしています。たんぽぽ組さんと合同で参加し，私たちのクラスが他のクラスのお友達を作って遊べることはとても素敵です。

　ダンスの先生がレッスンに来てくれます。サキ先生と私も子どもたちを手伝いながらも楽しみました。
　とても楽しくていい運動になります！ウォームアップとしてストレッチなどをしました。そしていくつかの動きを教わり，カウントの取り方やリズムに合わせて手をたたく練習をしました。私たちは先生を真似て，音楽に合わせていろいろな動きを行いました。私は，子どもたちはみんなとてもよく覚えていることと，先生の話をよく聞いていることに感動しました。

　練習で，１から４の数字が書かれたゴム製のマットを使用します。ダンスをしながら色や数字も学べますね！
　さらに子どもたちは左右の違いも学んでいます。子どもたちはみんなダンスが大好きで，次のレッスンを楽しみにしています。
　お部屋の活動でもダンスや音楽を使っていきますね。
