One of the special topics in Rabbit class for April is transportation. The other special topic is color. The students have been learning this vocabulary along with our regular curriculum. Today we made a craft using glue and paper to learn the different types of vehicles.

There are many transportation words to learn! Some sound similar to their Japanese names, and some do not. In today’s project, we made a scene of a few vehicles on a gray road. There was a car, bus, truck, police-car, ambulance, and fire engine.

The boys did a great job of gluing very small pieces. I was impressed with their focus and attention. They had to follow specific directions and listened very well. Some students were cautious to get sticky, while others preferred it. We all had fun, and now they have a piece of art to bring home and share.

（ラビット組の４月のトピックの一つは乗り物です。もう一つは色です。子どもたちは通常のカリキュラムの間にこれらのボキャブラリーを学んでいます。今日はいろいろな乗り物を学ぶために糊と紙を作って制作をしました。

たくさんの乗り物の名前がありますね。いくつかは日本語での言い方と同じようなものですが，そうでないものもあります。

今日の活動では灰色の道にいくつかの乗り物がある様子を作りました。車やバス，トラック，パトカー，救急車，消防車がありました。

男の子たちはとても小さい部品も上手に取り組みました。子どもたちの集中ぶりには驚きました。よく聞いて決まった方向に進めなくてはいけませんでした。中には糊でべたべたすることに注意深い子どももいましたが，それを楽しむ子どももいました。

みんな楽しんで，お家に持ち帰って見せる１枚の作品ができました。
