Today was our first day back after a long holiday of ten days. The spring weather was very nice, so we spent some time outside. There are many fun things to do on the playground. We have different slides, bars, a swing-set, a jungle-gym, and of course the sandbox. They enjoy using tools to dig in the sand. We had a pretend picnic with rice and tea made of sand.

The students are able to learn while they are playing. They are very curious about their surroundings. They notice small things like insects, plants, rocks, and other things in nature.  They love to ask, “What is it?” and we can teach them extra vocabulary. They can also learn how to play safely with others, waiting their turn, and following the rules in general.

Back inside, we had a long English lesson and I was so happy with how much the students remembered. This month in the Rabbit class, the special topics are animals and counting. Happy May everyone, and welcome back!

（今日は１０日間のお休みの後の１日目でした。春の気候がとてもよく，しばらく戸外遊びをしました。

園庭にはたくさんの楽しいことがあります。いろいろな滑り台や鉄棒，ブランコ，ジャングルジム，そしてもちろん砂場も。

子どもたちは道具を使って楽しく砂を掘ります。砂でできたご飯やお茶でピクニックごっこもしました。

子どもたちは遊んでいる間も学べます。とても周りを興味深く見ています。虫や，植物，岩，その他の自然のものによく気づきます。

「これ何？」と聞くことが大好きで，先生は余分にいろいろな言葉を教えられます。そしてその他にもお友達と安全に遊ぶ方法や，順番を待つこと，お約束を守ることなども学べています。

お部屋に戻って，少し長めに英語あそびの時間を持ちましたが，みんなよく覚えていたことがとても嬉しかったです。
