“Happyoukai” which means recital, is one of the biggest school events that everyone, students, teachers, and especially the parents are looking forward to every year. This is the time of the year where students give their best in presenting something in front of an audience normally in the form of a musical show and a musical instrument performance.

（生活発表会は園児，教師そして特に保護者が毎年楽しみにしている園行事の一つです。この時期になると，子どもたちは観客の前でオペレッタ・劇や合奏などを発表します。）

     This year’s recital was held on the 14th and the 15th of February at the main hall of Ishida Kindergarten. The students worked so hard everyday in a span of more than a month to learn and practice their musical show (a musical based on a story/book) and a musical instruments presentation (students play different kinds of musical instruments and sing a song). In the end, the efforts of the students paid off as we witnessed each class perform during the rehearsal day, a week before the actual recital day.

（今年は２月１４日，１５日に石田幼稚園の遊戯室で開催されました。子どもたちは，１か月以上にわたる，オペレッタ（物語や絵本を題材にした音楽劇）や劇，合奏（様々な楽器を演奏し，歌を歌う）の練習に毎日一生懸命取り組みました。最終的に，子どもたちの努力は実を結び，本番１週間前の予行練習で各クラスのパフォーマンスを見ることができました。）

     This recital was indeed a success; not only because the students did an amazing job at their performance but also because they learned something from it and had so much fun doing it.

（生活発表会は大成功でした。子どもたちは素晴らしい発表を披露しただけでなく，そこから何かを学び，とても楽しんでいましたよ。）
