Recently in Rabbit Class we have been celebrating and learning about Hina Matsuri! In the Hall at Ishida Preschool, we have decorated a lovely display with dolls for the celebration. In our classroom, we discussed the meaning behind Hina Matsuri and even did some special origami crafts!

We made our own special Hina dolls with origami paper, and decorated the surrounding area with other festive things and related items that the other dolls were holding for example. We had such fun drawing the faces and singing Hina Matsuri songs in Rabbit Class! Some of us even have Hina Matsuri decorations in our own homes, and enjoyed telling our other friends all about it.

Masumi Sensei gave us a very in depth explanation of each of the dolls, what they do and the items they are holding! It was very interesting to understand the deeper story behind Hina Matsuri! We were also very excited to get a very close look at the beautiful dolls, but we made sure to make sure our other friends can see, to not push and to not touch.

We hope everyone has fun celebrating Hina Matsuri, and we wish health and happiness to girls all over the world!
