Last week was a very special week for the Bear Class- we had our very first pool time of the year! This year felt extra exciting because everyone could join in the fun! Last year, some of our friends were still too young to go into the pool, but now we’re all big enough to splash and play together!

Before we got into the pool, our teacher made sure that we are all ready for the activity so we did some stretching and talked about the dos and don’ts of playing in the pool. We then took a quick shower and got into the pool one at a time.
For the first half of the pool time, we started with some basic routines like getting ourselves wet from head to toe, dipping our bodies under the water, and even splashing water to our friends. But the most fun part of it was when we were walking, crawling, squat-walking, hopping around the pool together pretending like we were trains, crocodiles, crabs, and rabbits.

The second half was all about free play. We played with the plastic bottles and cups that we brought in last week and turned them into all sorts of fun toys. Others floated them like boats, others turned them into water showers and others turned them into water squirters. We poured, splashed, and laughed so much!

Everyone had a wonderful time, and we are already looking forward to our next pool day!
