Last Tuesday, November 4th, was such a fun and exciting day! The Bear Class went on a field trip to Kitabori Park to go acorn picking! We rode the bus together with the other classes, but our class was divided into two groups- the girls rode on one bus and the boys on the other. Everyone was full of energy and couldn’t wait to arrive!

When we entered the park, the first thing we saw was the beautiful Momoyama Castle. It looked so big and amazing standing tall above the trees. We all pointed and said “Wow!”

Then, we started strolling around the park, holding our bags and looking carefully on the ground. Along the way, we found so many acorns- big ones, small ones, twin ones, and even some still in their caps! Somebody even yelled out, “a baby acorn!”, showing a really tiny acorn. We also picked up some leaves, little flowers, some blue and green “berries”, and a red thing that we referred to as “cherries” that looked interesting. It felt like we were on a treasure hunt in nature!

After walking an collecting for a while, we stopped to take a break and drink some tea. It felt nice to rest and chat with our friends while sitting under the trees. Once we finished our tea, we turned around and started heading back.

Before leaving the park, we all gathered together to take a class photo with our acorn bags and big smiles. Then it was time to ride the bus back to school.

It was such a wonderful day at Kitabori Park. I can’t wait for our next Bear Class adventure!
