Last Tuesday, October 14th, was one of the most exciting day ever- the mobile zoo came to our preschool! All of us in the Bear Class were so happy and couldn’t wait to see the animals.

In the morning, we helped separate the food we brought for the animals. Some of our friends brought carrots, others brought cabbage, and some had sweet potatoes and bread.

When the animals arrived and they have finished setting up the yard, they gathered us around and told us the rules on how to take care, pet, and feed the animals.

Then it was time to meet them. First, we started with the cute and smaller animals in the cage. We gently petted and fed the guinea pigs, and rabbits. They were so soft and tiny.

Then we moved on to the bigger animals in the next cage. The goats and sheep munched with the vegetables that we gave them. Even a wild boar was there! It looked big and scary at first but it was so calm the whole time and sniffed around.

After that, we then moved on to the bigger animals- the donkey and the pony. We all brushed their fur and gave them carrots and sweet potatoes. We all laughed when one of them made a funny noise.

Then came the most exciting part, we got to touch two tiny mice and a real snake! The mice were so soft and white. But when the animal caretaker brought the snake out, others looked frightened but others were excited because they knew two of our friends will be chosen to have the snake around their necks.

At the end of the day, we said goodbye to the animals and thanked the caretakers. It was such a fun day. We learned to be brave, gentle, and caring towards the animals.
