Today, we, the Bear Class, together with our other friends from Lion, Tsubaki, and Momo Classes, took a break from practicing for Sports Day and went on a fun and exciting field trip adventure- Sweet potato digging! From the moment we arrived at the farm, we can’t hide the excitement in our eyes when we saw the wide field waiting for us.

With shovels in our hands, we started digging into the soil. At first, we were wondering, “Where are the sweet potatoes?” But we didn’t give up and kept digging. We soon started shouting with joy, “I found one!”, digging up sweet potatoes one after another. Some were small and cute, while others were so big we had to pull with both hands to lift them out. We felt very proud of ourselves because we did most of the digging by ourselves as opposed to when we were in the Rabbit Class. Before leaving the farm, we took a class photo. We held up our “best” sweet potato together with our best smiles. The photo captured how proud we were of ourselves.

It surely was a tiring activity and our clothes and hands became dirty but that made the digging even more fun and memorable. We laughed and cheered on our friends as we show each other the sweet potatoes we dug. We can’t wait to bring them home and enjoy them with our family.
