Today was an exciting day for us because it’s our Sports Day rehearsal! The school yard was full of energy, determination, and cuteness as each class practiced and showed everyone their performances.

We, the Bear Class, had a big day! First, we started our performances with Karate. We did it with our friends in the Lion, Tsubaki, and Momo class, showing great focus and discipline guided by our Karate teacher, Nakano Sensei. After that, we moved on to Paraballoon, where we worked together, moving, shaking, dancing, and bouncing balls up in the air. The applause from the other classes and teachers made us really proud of ourselves. Finally, we ended our performances with a friendly race with Momo Class where everyone gave their best effort from start to finish. It’s wonderful to see how much our speed and performance improved since our first day of practice.

Our friends in other classes also practiced their parts. The Tulip Class looked so cute and cheerful as they danced and ran their race. The Year I students, Rabbit and Tanpopo Class, impressed everyone with their graceful dance and speedy race, too! The Year III students, Lion and Tsubaki Class, showed great endurance and discipline in their formation gymnastics, obstacle race, relay race, and Karate. Watching them gave us inspiration knowing we will be doing those same things next year.

It was wonderful to see the whole school practicing together but most of all, we are so proud of how much each classes has grown and improved since the first day of practice. We can’t wait to show everyone, especially our family, what we’ve been working on at Sports Day!
