Painting with a paintbrush sounds fun, doesn’t it? But do you know what is more fun? Painting with your hands!
（絵筆で絵を描くのは楽しそうですよね。でも，もっと楽しいことがあるのをご存知ですか？それは，ハンドペイント（手で塗る技法）です！）
It is the Rabbit Class’ first time to try painting this year so we, the teachers, have decided to make Arts and Crafts time more fun and interesting. We let the students use their own hands in painting/spreading the paint instead of using a paintbrush. We have done it twice already. The first time was just having fun with paint— aimlessly spreading paints, but the second time’s aim was to let the students make the base part of a “hydrangea flower” art.
（Rabbit組では今年初めて絵の具を使う機会なので，制作や絵画をより楽しく，面白いと感じてもらえる方法を考える必要がありました。
そこで，絵筆を使うのではなく，子どもたち自身の手を使って絵の具を広げたり塗ったりしました。すでに2回実施しましたよ。
1回目は絵の具（赤・黄・青・白）を広げたり色が混ざったりする様子を楽しみました。そして2回目は絵の具（紅梅色・水色）を使って“アジサイの花”の絵の土台を作りました。）
Students seemed to have so much fun and can’t seem to get enough of it. It was so fun that even us, teachers, wanted to jump in and try it ourselves.
（子どもたちは飽きることなくとても楽しんでいました。あまりにも楽しそうな姿に、私たちも飛び入り参加でやってみたくなりました。）
