The Art Festival – Exciting Aquarium.
The art festival at Ishida Kindergarten opened today! A wide range of the students’ paintings and drawings will be on display in our hall.
This year’s main theme is that of an aquarium, and it has been named ‘The Exciting Aquarium’ (Waku Waku Suizokukan). As such, lots of sea creatures can be seen set in various watery environments!
All of the children at the kindergarten have been focused on producing many craft items over the previous few weeks. This has mainly involved making a selection of large themed pieces for the displays, as well as some smaller individual pieces.
In the Lion class we produced a large figure of a girl, and a large pink dolphin. The Lion students, along with the Tsubaki class, also made smaller figures individually. These smaller ones will be used as spectators for the dolphin show.
Lots of superb sea creatures can be viewed at the hall on the second floor. There are large, fun dolphins, a big red crab, a long green crocodile, a cute penguin, friendly seals, and an amazing octopus. These are accompanied by lots of smaller fish, crabs, jellyfish, etc.
Please come to view the wonderful paintings, drawings, and other art that the children have produced. At the same time be amazed by the spectacular scenes and colourful sea creatures that live inside our special aquarium!!!
The festival is open from Thursday 17th until Saturday 19th.
