Eating a cold, crunchy, fruity snow cone would be so refreshing in this hot weather.

Well, we have made snow cones during a period this morning. Unfortunately, they were not real ones, but were craft items created from sheets of paper.

The children utilized paper, scissors, glue and paint to produce the finished objects.

They cut out shapes of dishes, spoons, and ice mounds. Then used glue to affix these components together. Lastly, they painted colour onto the top of the ice. This represented the flavoured syrup that tops a real snow cone.

Strawberry flavour was a popular choice with the students. I chose melon, and Saki sensei chose lemon.

（暑い日に冷たくてシャリシャリとしたフルーティーなかき氷を食べるのは爽快ですよね。

今朝の活動でかき氷を作りました。

まあ、残念ながら本物ではなく、画用紙で作ったものですが…。

子どもたちは画用紙とはさみ、糊、絵の具を使って完成させました。

お皿とスプーン、氷の形を切り取り、糊を使ってくっつけると、

最後に氷の上に絵の具で色付けをして、本物のかき氷のシロップの種類を表現しました。

イチゴ味が子どもには人気で、私はメロン味、さき先生はレモン味を選びました。
