Splish! Splash! Splosh!…..

The sound of movement in water.
The children have started to use the pool for the first time.
They had to learn the procedure that they need to follow to get prepared to use the pool, as well as how to use the pool safely, and how to get ready to return to their classrooms.

We had two swimming pools positioned outside – a small one for the youngest children, and a larger one for all of the other students.
They could walk through the water, sit down in it, play with plastic bottles and scoops, and generally splash about. If they were ready, the children could also try to swim.

The water was quite shallow, so swimming was rather like crawling in water.
Today’s weather was very hot.

The pool provided a real chance to cool down, and to feel refreshed.
It was really great to see everyone having a wonderful time…..

Splish! Splash! Splosh!

お水のはねる音がしますね。
今日、プール開きを行いました。

子どもたちはプールで安全に遊ぶお約束やプール後のお部屋への戻り方など先生に教わりました。

最年少のお友達のための小さなプールと、その他の学年のお友達のための大きなプールがあり、
みんなプールの中で歩いたり座ったり、プラスティック容器で遊んだり、バシャバシャとはしゃいだりしました。
もし子どもたちがその気なら、泳ごうと挑戦することもできました。
プールの水はとても浅く、泳ぐといっても水の中をハイハイをするような様子でしたが♪

今日はとても暑く、プールのおかげでクールダウンをしてリフレッシュする機会になりました。
みんなとても楽しそうで見ているだけで私も嬉しく感じました。
