The children have again been playing outside in the sandbox.

This time, we added lots of water into the sandbox.

Small pools were formed, and it was possible to dig channels that became miniature rivers.

The students changed into suitable clothing

that gave freedom of movement, and didn’t matter if they got them dirty.

Most children wore flip-flops, or similar types of footwear.

These kept their feet nice and cool, and enabled the children to feel the sand and water on their skin.

It was a little difficult for them to walk in these sandals,

and it was especially challenging for them to get the flip-flops’ toe thongs positioned correctly

between their toes!

They enjoyed to experience the wet, sticky, muddy sand!

I am sure that they are looking forward to playing in our swimming pool.

 

（子どもたちは今日も砂場遊びをしました。

今回は、たくさんの水をいれ、小さなプールができたので、道を掘って川にすることができました。

子どもたちは、動きやすくて汚れてもいい泥んこパンツに着替えてゴム草履をはきました。

おかげで子どもたちの足は冷たくて気持ちよく、砂や水の感覚を肌で感じることができました。

ゴム草履で歩くことは少し難しかったようで、特に足の指の間にきちんとはさむことに苦戦していました。

子どもたちはドロドロでべちゃべちゃの泥で遊ぶ経験を楽しみました。

プール遊びを楽しみにしていることと思います。）
